Chat Commands

Command | Description

/bestloot → Opens the graphical loot-container overview and editor.
/bloot → Short alias for /bestloot.
/bestlootdebug → Displays technical information about the loot container currently being targeted.
/bestlootrepopulate → Immediately repopulates active containers that use customized BestLoot tables.

The debug command requires the player to look directly at a loot container within a short distance.

Permission

bestloot.use – allows access to the BestLoot editor, debugging command, and repopulation command.

Rust administrators automatically receive access without requiring the permission.

Usage

Grant the administrator the bestloot.use permission or use a Rust administrator account.
Enter /bestloot or /bloot to open the loot-container overview.
Select the desired container and open its loot-table editor.
Add or remove loot slots and choose items through the searchable item selector.
Configure the weight and minimum or maximum amount for each item.
Set the desired minimum and maximum number of drops and, where supported, the Scrap range.
Save the configuration to activate the customized loot table.

Use Reset to restore the selected container’s vanilla loot table.
Use Reset All to restore every container to its vanilla configuration.
Enter /bestlootrepopulate to refill currently active customized containers after making changes.
For troubleshooting, look at a container and enter /bestlootdebug to inspect its prefab, configuration match, and current BestLoot status.
