Chat Commands

Command / Description

/smeltcontrol → Opens the SmeltControl administration interface.

/smelt → Short alias for /smeltcontrol.

The command names can be changed or extended through the plugin configuration.

Permissions

smeltcontrol.admin – Grants access to the SmeltControl administration interface and all configuration tools.

smeltcontrol.use – Allows a player’s furnaces and recyclers to receive the configured processing benefits when permission mode is enabled.

Players with smeltcontrol.admin are also treated as authorized processing users.

Rust administrators automatically receive administrative access. If the administration permission system is disabled, management remains restricted to Rust administrators.

When processing permission mode is disabled, the configured furnace and recycler settings apply to all users.

Usage

Enter /smeltcontrol or /smelt to open the administration interface.

Use the Overview section to enable or disable global processing and configure:

• Smelting duration
• Fuel consumption
• Output quantity
• Byproduct quantity
• Processing permission mode

A smelting-duration value of 100% represents vanilla speed. Lower values process items faster. Fuel, output, and byproduct values use 100% as their vanilla reference and can be increased or reduced independently.

Open Ovens to view every automatically detected oven type. Select an oven to choose whether it inherits the global profile or uses a dedicated profile with individual speed, fuel, output, and byproduct settings.

Use Items to switch between blacklist and whitelist operation. Select a cookable item to include or exclude it, assign a custom output percentage, or restrict it to specific oven types. An output override of 0% uses the active oven profile.

Open Recycler to enable recycler management and adjust recycling-cycle duration and output quantity. As with ovens, lower duration percentages result in faster processing.

The Diagnostics section displays the number of detected oven types, active controllers, running ovens, and currently managed ovens.

All interface changes are saved automatically and applied immediately. When permission mode is enabled, only furnaces or recyclers activated by users with smeltcontrol.use or smeltcontrol.admin receive the configured benefits.
